<p style="text-align: justify;">Ben Miller Band &#8211; Die Überraschung der letzten ZZTop Tour</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Die dreiköpfige Ben Miller Band aus Joplin/Missouri kommt auf die Bühne mit einen one string bass auf dem Waschzuber montiert, einen Minimalschlagzeug samt Waschbrett und unter Anderem einer akustischen 7-string Gitarre, die Ben Miller spielte. Was hier abgeht ist eine Mischung aus Bluegrass, Delta Blues und Appalachian Mountain Feeling. Nacheinander ziehen die Herren das Waschbrett, eine Posaune, Banjo und Mandoline, einen Satz Löffel und die Cigar Box Guitar hervor und spielten spannende Songs mit wirklich interessanter Instrumentierung. Das Waschbrett und selbst die Löffel vom Drummer Doug Dicherry sind elektrisch verstärkt und wurden durch Gitarreneffektgeräte gejagt, um sie als wahre Soloinstrumente in den Vordergrund zu bringen. Mit Echo, space sound und WahWah erfährt das Waschbrett eine Wandlung zum Stevie Ray Vaughan oder Jimmy Hendrix Sound. Gitarrist Ben Miller nutzt einen ausgedienten Telefonhörer, um seine Stimmer möglichst dreckig zu übermitteln oder um die Blues Harp völlig abgefahren zu spielen. Der Bassist Scott Leeper mit einem One String Bass, der durch Ändern des Halses durchgestimmt wird, glänzte auch am Schlagzeug. Die völlig unbekannten Jungs um den Sänger und Gitarristen Ben Miller liefern einen wirklich spannende Auftritt ab.</p>
